Gstaad Boutique
The GIRARD-PERREGAUX boutique was designed by the Baciocchi Bureau of Architects, in Arezzo (Italy). The style is both pure and warm, an effect achieved through the formal simplicity of the discreet, minimalist furniture and the choice for all the surfaces of a very special wood, wenge, whose contrasting grain has an astonishingly light effect.
The walls are flanked by recessed illuminated display-cases. As Luigi Macaluso explains, their shape is inspired directly by the work of the conceptual American sculptor Donald Judd.
Titanium has been used for both the sales counter and the display cases (with cold LED lighting) and reflects a rich variety of soft chromatic tones. Alongside this technical and noble metal, the architects have used natural materials like the green leather of the upholstery and the real antlers which decorate the ceiling of the main room.
