R&D design

The creation of a new movement requires months, sometimes years of development. This task is entrusted to highly qualified engineers, using CAD tools in conjunction with the latest generation calculation and 3D simulation software.
Excellence in design, performance, accuracy, durability, reliability and ease of maintenance are the fundamental points in the specifications.

The watchmakers and micro-mechanical engineers in the R&D department have control of the entire development process, from design to the production of tens of pieces. The challenge is one of scale: 200 to 300 sometimes microscopic components need to be assembled within a diameter of a few centimetres, while ensuring their long-term durability and controlling their thousands of interactions.
