Miami (December 6, 2012) – Girard-Perregaux, iconic luxury Swiss watch brand, was proud to partner up with FOReverglades, an environmentally minded public art exhibition by International Artists William Sweetlove and artists collective, Cracking Art Group, for Art Week in Miami.
Though the exhibit opened for the public on November 30th, December 5th was a special evening in which the brand unveiled a limited edition timepiece inspired by FOReverglades for Art Week. The watch was presented in an exclusive breakfast and cocktail at Miami’s iconic Freedom Tower, where guests were also able to enjoy Sweetlove’s art.
“We are very proud to unveil this special watch”, said Michele Sofisti, CEO of Sowind (Girard-Perregaux and JEANRICHARD). “The importance of preserving our environment is beautifully represented in FOReverglades and we hope that together we are able to spread the message further and increase public awareness”.
The introduction of this timepiece is also of particular significance for the brand as it also unveils their new Hawk collection, a sport collection including both diver watches and chronographs. The Hawk FOReverglades features a steel case housing a Girard-Perregaux Manufacture mechanical with automatic winding movement. The strap is done in white with the red crocodiles from FOReverglades prominently featured.
