Graef family
The Graef family would also see three successive generations at the head of the Girard-Perregaux Firm, bought up in the late 1920s by Otto Graef (1862-1948), who was assisted by his two sons Willy (1893-1984) and Paul (1894-1981). The third, Jean R. Graef, was responsible for promoting the brand in the United States.
The heritage would be particularly enhanced with the coming of the third generation to the firm, Jean-Pierre Graef (1919-1963), Jean-Edouard Friedrich (1912-1999) and Charles-Edouard Virchaux (1916-1994), who undertook in-depth historic research and started bringing together part of the collection of historic watches now exhibited in the Girard-Perregaux Museum.
