Manufacture

Built by the local architect Léon Boillot (1871-1956), the Manufacture building dates from the early 20th Century. The main body was built in 1904-1905, with iron girdering and columns.

In 1918, it received an extension with the West wing admirably illustrating the Art Nouveau style, of which the town of La Chaux-de-Fonds has some magnificent gems.
This wing's monumental staircase serves all the floors, between which the various development and production activities are divided: research and development, laboratories, manufacture of movements, cases and wristlets, assembly workshops...
