Meet the Girard-Perregaux "Casquette", born in 1976, reborn in 2022 in black ceramic.
Embodying a unique fusion of advanced technology and vintage charm, offering more than just a way to tell time – a symbol of personal style.
Officially adopting the original moniker, the Casquette 2.0 was reintroduced in 2022 with an updated design and functionalities, housed in a scratch-resistant black ceramic and Grade 5 titanium.
The original production of the 1976 Casquette was of 8200 pieces. The Casquette 2.0 became an even rarer sight with an ultra-limited production of a few hundred.
It featured a tubular LED display and quartz movement, departing from traditional watch designs.
Its innovative LED display, offering hours, minutes, seconds, day, and date, epitomized avant-garde styling reminiscent of 70s muscle cars.
Girard-Perregaux's design philosophy emphasizes integration and ergonomic considerations,
evident in the Casquette's integrated bracelets and varied case materials.
