Laureato Summer Edition
In 38 or 34mm versions, powered by a mechanical self-winding or a quartz movement and brimming with peppy colours, the five models of the Summer Edition 2018 from Girard-Perregaux set a vibrant new upbeat tone.
Today, being oneself is a real art. It is a matter of taking perfectly measured decisions aimed at displaying various facets of one’s personality, including a touch of boldness, creativity and sometimes also a rebellious streak. In other words, showcasing individuality. Clothes, shoes, jewellery and a handbag all contribute to the persona, while a watch has a place of its own. An essential object rather than a mere fashion accessory, it literally says it all at first glance, before revealing subtler nuances as time goes by.
Laureato 38mm Summer Edition
Pastels give way to vibrant and daring shades of blue, purple and yellow. For this model with its generously sized case, Girard-Perregaux opts for a manga-style ultra-colour vibe. To be worn however one wishes, as an offbeat touch with an understated outfit, or as part of a full-on look for those wishing to shattering ordinary style conventions.
The dial with its Clou de Paris hobnail pattern and painted finish strikes a bold contrast with the famous octagonal bezel, which on this model is set with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds. The movement powering the Laureato 38mm Summer Edition is a perfect illustration of the expertise that has forged the renown of the Manufacture. The in-house self-winding GP03300 movement drives the hours, minutes, central seconds and date functions, as well as ensuring a 46-hour power reserve. It is tailor-made for the stainless steel case, much like a Haute Couture creation. The mainplate is circular grained and adorned with a Côtes de Genève pattern also engraved on the oscillating weight, along with a satin finish, bevelled chamfers and blued screws.
Laureato 34mm Summer Edition
Candy pink or sea green? A tough choice for anyone wishing to express a fresh outlook and an irrepressibly cheerful attitude. The dial of the Laureato 34mm Summer Collection is also beautifully framed by the octagonal bezel set with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds. While notably slimmer on the wrist, the steel case nonetheless asserts a strong presence through its flowing lines and integrated wristband. This dynamic model is driven by a high-precision in-house quartz movement, the GP13100, which the Manufacture has endowed with its signature finishes.
Available in 38 and 34mm sizes, each model comes in a 75-piece version, fitted with a stainless steel bracelet or a rubber strap in the same shade as the dial, creating a colour block effect that is even more electrifying. For Girard-Perregaux, watchmaking – like fashion – provides endless scope for infinitely varied experiences.
